BUFF Studios has picked up the theatrical distribution rights across the UK and Ireland for British romantic thriller “City of Masks”, the debut feature film from UK production banner Starmist Films. The project represents BUFF Studios’ third release of 2026, following “No Shade” and “Ireke: Rise of the Maroons”.

Former Sky Sports presenter Charlotte Jackson Coleman will appear in the upcoming British gothic romantic thriller City of Masks, which is scheduled for UK theatrical release around Halloween 2026.
Directed by Andrea M. Catinella (Piglet) and written by Enrico Tessarin (The Habit of Beauty), the film draws inspiration from Gaston Leroux's 1910 gothic novel The Phantom of the Opera, reworking its themes of identity, obsession and performance through a contemporary female perspective.
